HE GONE: Love leaving LC for Woodland High School

Multiple reports late Monday morning indicated Trojan head football coach Bryan Love had accepted the head coaching job at Woodland High School in Henry County. The Herald Gazette has now confirmed that move. ”We can confirm Coach Love has accepted the position of head football coach at Woodland High School and has submitted his resignation (to be formally accepted by the board of education this evening). We are grateful for Coach Love’s investment with our student-athletes and look forward to bringing in another top quality individual to lead our football program. The search has already begun, we hope to move very quickly to provide a seamless transition,” school superintendent Dr. Jute Wilson reported Tuesday. Love came here last year, replacing Jamie Abrams. Love, who previously spent three years at Westlake, went 6-5 here last fall. Woodland coach Steve Davenport, who went 24-9 in three seasons, moved on to South Gwinnett in Snellville in a move announced last month.
