Henry ‘Junior Mack’ Brown was born July 9, 1936 in Lamar County to the late Willie Brown and Rosa Lee Daniels Brown. He was a lifelong member of Antioch Baptist Church and was employed by Dundee Mills Inc. in Griffin until his retirement. He married Eloise Cook and they remained together until her death departed them. They were blessed with 60 years together and had eight children. He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing, cooking on the pit and making homemade barbecue sauce.In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Jean Brown Miller and a sister, Bobbie Jean Brown. Loving memories of Henry will always linger in the hearts of his beloved family, including his seven children, Henry Lee Brown Jr. (Freddie Mae) of Milner, GA, Joann Jones (Leon) of Atlanta, GA, Charlie Brown, Polly Brown, Jimmy Lee Brown (Nicole), Michael Brown (Pearline) and Tony Brown, all of Milner, GA; three generations of grandchildren; three sisters, Ollie Mae Caslin and Angie Slayter, both of Griffin, GA and Henrietta Slayter of Orange, NJ; one brother, Curtis Slayter of Griffin, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret McGuire (Claude) and Joe Cook of Atlanta, GA; devoted friend, Elizabeth Banks of Barnesville, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 20 at Antioch Baptist Church in Barnesville with Rev. Keith Battle officiating.
