High speed chase in Lamar ends in Spalding

Two suspects with felony warrants for their arrest were chased by Lamar County Sheriff’s deputies, Georgia State Patrol and Spalding County Sheriff’s deputies for around 30 minutes Thursday afternoon. The chase took deputies through the northeastern part of Lamar County, into Butts County and back into Lamar and then Spalding County before officers used the PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle. According to sheriff Wendell Beam, more details about the chase and apprehension of the suspects will be revealed Friday morning. The truck with the suspects was stopped on a residential road in Orchard Hill. More details as they become available.
