Single lane closures in Lamar and Pike counties will affect traffic this week, according to the Department of Transportation. In Lamar County, there will be brush and tree cutting along Highway 36 with single lane closure. In Pike County, there will be brush and tree cutting along Highway 109 with single lane closure. There will be night lane closures on I-75 in Henry County for construction of the new Georgia Express Lanes through Monday, Nov. 24, weather permitting. Crews plan to place a protective barrier wall in two-mile increments beginning at Highway 155 to Highway 138, from mile markers 216 to 228.
