Griffin police officers are searching for alleged shooter Anthony Barkley in connection with a Feb. 8 armed robbery at 213 Central Ave. He is considered to be armed and dangerous. Anyone who has information about him or his location is asked to call Sgt. Sommer Bales at 770-229-6452.Griffin Police Department press release:During the early morning hours of Feb. 8, Officers from the Griffin Police Department responded 213 E. Central Ave. in response to an alleged home invasion with shots fired. Upon the Officer’s arrival on the scene it was determined that no one was injured. There were three victims inside the residence at the time of the shooting. They were identified as Otis Guider, Kendrick Daniels and Jenny Terrell. According to the victims two men forced their way into the residence during which time one of the suspects fired two rounds at one of the victims missing both times. Both suspects fled the scene prior to the police arrival. Crime Scene Investigator Jennifer Carter and Investigator Sgt. Sommer Bales responded to the scene and took over the investigation. After further investigation the alleged shooter was identified as Anthony Barkley with a last known address of 334 N. 6th St., Griffin. On February 9, Sgt. Bales obtained several warrants for the arrest of Barkley. He has been charged with three counts of Aggravated assault, burglary and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. As of the date of this release Barkley’s where a bout is unknown. He should be considered armed and dangerous. The second suspect has not been identified at this time.
