WKEU radio in Griffin is reporting state and federal authorities raided the home and business of Sandra Trice Tuesday. Trice is an Upson County commissioner and owner of Trice Funeral Home. Trice Funeral Home has a location on Mill Street in Barnesville. Trice is accused of selling illegal insurance policies with her funeral home as the beneficiary. Citizen complaints apparently led to the raid. GBI agents and investigators from insurance commissioner John Oxendine’s office took part in the raid along with agents from the Secretary of State’s office and U.S. Treasury Department. Sandra Trice has not yet been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.
