Mr. Horace Dixon, age 101, who lived at 143 Grove St. in Barnesville died on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013. Graveside services were held on Thursday, Aug. 8 at 11 a.m. in the Greater Springhill Baptist church cemetery in Milner, Ga. Rev. Eddie Collier officiated. Bentley’s & Sons Funeral Home of Barnesville was in charge of all professional services. Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Williams Dixon of Barnesville; one son, Mr. L.J. Dixon of Orlando, Fla.; several grandchildren; four sisters, Fannie Lyons and Lucinda Curtis, both of Griffin, Ga., Nattie C. Barber of College Park, Ga., and Lorenia Dickey of Denver Col.; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him and will miss him.
