A truck pulling a large horse trailer on I-75 in Lamar County hydroplaned Tuesday afternoon and one horse was killed in the ensuing crash. The crash snarled traffic for some time. Multiple other horses were injured but the driver was unhurt. Barnesville veterinarian Dr. Chanda Moxon treated and sedated several animals at the scene. Local horseman Gregg Martin and the Monroe County Saddle Club provided transport to get the surviving horses off the busy highway.
