Barnesville’s own Hunter Price, nominated for Georgia Teen Artist of the year, is a contender in the semifinals that end at 12 noon Thursday, Sept. 4. ’To be a contender, you had to be nominated by someone in the music industry,’ said his mother Marilyn Price. ‘Hunter was nominated along with 24 others for Georgia Country Teen Artist of the Year.’ After the first round of voting, he made the top 12 and now voting is winding down for the top six. To vote, go to http://www.georgia-country.com, click on the Georgia Country Awards link and scroll down to the teen singers category and click on ‘Hunter Price.’ ’You can only vote once per round per computer or smart phone,’ she said. ‘Invite friends, family and co-workers to vote to put Hunter Price and Barnesville on the map.’
