Identity protection for Georgia voters

The Secretary of State’s office is providing one year of complimentary credit monitoring and identity restoration services to all Georgia voters whose information appeared on the October 13, 2015 voter list. Eligible voters may enroll in the services at the Secretary of State’s website using the below link: http://soswebadmin.sos.state.ga.us/index.php/elections/statement_on_voter_data_security ’While I am confident that every voters’ personal data is secure, these services are being offered to provide Georgia voters with peace of mind,’ said Secretary of State Brian Kemp. Enrollment in CSID Protector Coverage is now open and will be open through February 14, 2016. The coverage lasts through December 31, 2016. CSID Protector Coverage is a comprehensive product that includes credit monitoring, CyberAgent® internet surveillance, change of address monitoring, and social security number trace. Additionally, Identity Restoration services will be provided to any Georgia voter whose information was included on the October 13, 2015 voter list if their identity is stolen at any point through December 31, 2016. No enrollment is required for the Identity Restoration services. Brian Kemp has been Secretary of State since January 2010. Among the office’s wide-ranging responsibilities, the Secretary of State is charged with conducting secure, accessible, and fair elections, the registration of corporations, and the regulation of securities, charities, and professional license holders.
