The GBI has been called in to investigate the stabbing death of an inmate at Jackson State Prison just across the Lamar County line in Butts County. Pippa Lamont Hall-Jackson, who was serving a 20-year sentence resulting from an aggravated assault conviction is DeKalb County, was stabbed multiple times and died Tuesday. A fellow inmate is expected to be charged soon with murder. Other suspects could also emerge.
