Mr. J.C. Evans Jr., age 63, who resided at 264 Roberts Rd. in Barnesville passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at the Spalding Regional Medical Center. The family received friends at the residence. Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m. at the Unionville United Methodist Church of Barnesville, Ga. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Pastor Maggie Young presided and Rev. Charles Dumas officiated. Bentley’s Funeral Home of Barnesville was in charge of all professional services. Mr. Evans is survived by his wife, Angela Dugger Evans of Barnesville; four children, Avanti Evans of Ohio, Mkyle Hughes and Cartavis Gray of Barnesville and Santeisha Hollingshed of Taylor County; three siblings, Willie Lou Green (Clint) of Thomaston, Ga., Netia Stillwell (James) and Jamie Johnson Evans of Griffin, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
