Jacquelyn “Jackie” Burnette Cooper Obituary

Jacquelyn “Jackie” Burnette Cooper, age 74, of Barnesville, died Thursday, April 5, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Cooper was a native of Rock Hill, S.C. and was born to the late Mr. William “W.T.” Burnette and the late Mrs. Jimmie Lou Shiver Burnette. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the late Mr. Orman Emory Cooper. Mrs. Cooper was retired as Assistant Vice President of Operations at First National Bank of Barnesville and was a member of the Barnesville Church of Christ. Survivors include one daughter, Cindy L. Grantham (and Kenny) of Barnesville; one son, Craig (and Suzanne) Cooper of Barnesville; two sisters, Joanne (and Johnny) Jones of Barnesville and Kathy (and Danny) Martin of Barnesville; two brothers, Bobby (and Bobbie) Burnette of Barnesville and Jimmy (and Bobbie) Burnette of Barnesville; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services for Mrs. Cooper will be held Saturday, April 7, at 2 p.m. in the Barnesville Church of Christ. Interment will follow in Lamar Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home on Friday, April 6, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. Those who wish may view the memorial page and sign the guestbook online at www.williamsfh.net.
