Capt. Carole Sutton is retiring effective Jan. 31 from her position as jail administrator at the Lamar County S.O. She has 12 years of service over two stints with the department and 20 years with the Spalding Co. sheriff’s office Capt. Reginald Sutton, presently with the Griffin Police Department and a Lamar reserve deputy, will take over the post. Sheriff Larry Waller said his department is very fortunate to have Reginald Sutton as part of its command staff.
