James Franklin Goolsby obituary

Mr. James Franklin “Frank” Goolsby, age 70, of Yatesville passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012 in a Henry County healthcare facility. A native of Ellijay, Mr. Goolsby was the son of the late General Charleston Goolsby and the late Mrs. Lillie Elvira Wilcoxon Goolsby. Mr. Goolsby was a truck driver with Waller Transport. He loved gardening, antique cars and his family. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Carol Goolsby of Yatesville; five daughters, Toni McCullough of Turkey Foot, N.C., Deborah Howard of Lineville, Ala., Nicki Payne of Thomaston, Cynthia Tapley of Lineville, Ala., and Amanda Goolsby of Surfside Beach, S.C.; 12 grandchildren, Michael, Bobby, Mitchell, Kathryn, David, Hannah, Matthew, Brandon, Cody, Enan, Katelynn and Cortlynn; one great-grandchild, Anthony; one sister, Claudia O’Dene Goolsby of Ellijay; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. James Franklin “Frank” Goolsby will be conducted Friday, July 13, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Friday morning, July 13, 2012 from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
