Mr. Jimmy Martin September 14, 1946 – June 29, 2018 Milner Mr. James Franklin ‘Jimmy’ Martin, age 71, of Milner, passed away June 29, 2018. He was born in Barnesville, son of the late Joseph Jackson ‘Jack’ Martin and Louise Bunn Martin. He worked for the Georgia Forestry Commission and Walker Concrete for many years. He was of the Baptist faith. Jimmy was a volunteer and captain at fire station number three in Milner. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR. Dale Earnhardt Sr. was his favorite. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Martin. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Christine Martin; sons and daughters-in-law, Jay and Lisa Martin of Griffin, Tim and Melissa Martin of Jackson, David and Becky Martin of Molena; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Wayne Inglett of Milner; grandchildren, Brittany, Cody, Hunter, Halee, Tori, Ashley and Kassidy; sisters and a brothers-in-law, Jackie and Ken Holloman, Betty O’Neal and Joann Sutton all of Milner; brother, Dwayne Martin of Milner; several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, July 14 from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Rev. Franklin Gibson officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses. Moody-Daniel Funeral Home in Zebulon is in charge of arrangements.
