James R. Boyd obituary

Mr. James R. Boyd, age 79, of Barnesville, Ga., passed away on Monday, April 9, 2012 at his residence.Mr. Boyd was born in Spalding County on Nov. 16, 1932 to the late James Johnson Boyd Sr. and the late Sarah Clyde Huff Boyd. He retired from the city of Griffin as a sewage plant operator.    Survivors include his daughter, Doris Drafton; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Geraldine Boyd; grandchildren, Bo Drafton, Robert Adams, April Adams, David Boyd, Amy Stephens, Keith Jackson and Debra Jackson; 13 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Betty Jean and James Jackson; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Tricia Boyd; and several nieces and nephews.Graveside services for Mr. James R. Boyd were conducted on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery, section E-4. Friends visited the family from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home.
