Jan. 17: 1030 cases, 31 deaths

Lamar County was up to 1030 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 31 deaths as of the Sunday case count update from DPH. Lamar is recorded as having 68 hospitalizations. Statewide there have been 680,378 confirmed cases with 46,619 hospitalizations and 11,032 deaths. Surrounding counties: Pike: 788 cases, 58 hospitalizations and 16 deaths. Upson: 1462 cases, 132 hospitalizations and 76 deaths. Monroe: 1471 cases, 134 hospitalizations and 66 deaths. Butts: 1607 cases, 91 hospitalizations and 51 deaths.
