Janette Perdue Goodman

Mrs. Janette Perdue Goodman, age 80, of Griffin, Ga., passed away on Sunday, Aug. 31, at Brightmoor Senior Living. Mrs. Goodman was born in in Lavonia, Ga., on Oct. 11, 1933. She is preceded in death by her parents Moses Thrasher and Phyna Estelle Fleming Thrasher. Before her retirement Mrs. Goodman was a long-time employee with Carter’s in Barnesville, Ga. She was a member of the VFW in Barnesville and was of the Holiness faith. Survivors include her husband, Hulette Goodman; son, David Perdue and his wife Juanita; daughter, Bonita Horne and her husband Benny; son, Stephen Perdue; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Avanell Rogers and Connie McDaniel; brothers, Jimmy Thrasher, Jerry Thrasher, Roger Thrasher and Lee Thrasher; several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Janette Perdue Goodman were held on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday Sept. 3, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Rev. Gene Luke officiated. Interment followed in Lamar Memory Gardens.
