Jeannie Haddock offered chief appraiser job

Barnesville native Jeannie Ayer Haddock, 37, is expected to start work as early as Thursday as Lamar County’s chief appraiser. She comes home to Barnesville from neighboring Pike County where she held the same position. She will earn an annual salary of $52,000. Her resignation in Pike County was effective Tuesday morning. Having trained under former chief appraiser Ann Keadle, she worked here for years before going to Pike County where she has spent the last eight years. Haddock served on Lamar’s Board of Assessors until 2007. Employment is contingent on her passing blood and alcohol tests, according county administrator Wayne Patterson. Haddock and her husband Kelley live in Founders Grove with their two sons, Kirk and Jake who attend Lamar County schools.
