Jennifer Clark seeks new trial

Convicted killer Jennifer Clark has filed a motion for a new trial and a hearing on the matter is set for Aug. 8 in Lamar superior court. Clark is serving life plus 60 years for the murder of her husband, Donald Clark. ******************** NOTICE: This story and photo(s) are under copyright. They may not be republished or disseminated in any form or format – including social media – without explicit permission. ********************* Jennifer Clark was convicted Feb. 4, 2011 of malice murder, two counts felony murder, concealing the death of another, tampering with evidence and two counts cruelty to children. She is incarcerated at Arrendale State Prison. Donald Clark was killed by multiple blows to the head with a metal baseball bat Nov. 19, 2008. His battered body was dumped in a Redbone corn field where it was found on Christmas eve, 2008. At the time of Jennifer Clark’s conviction, Judge Tommy Wilson stipulated she must serve at least 30 years in prison. Judge Wilson will also hear her motion for new trial. Clark’s lover and codefendant Kenneth Michael Yost was convicted of murder, concealing the death of another and tampering with evidence. He is serving a life term with the possibility of parole at Smith State Prison.
