Mrs. Jewell Jones Allmon, 84, of Zebulon, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Allmon were held on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Valley Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Joe Allen and Dr. Derrick Keeter officiated and burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Barnesville. Mrs. Allmon was a native of Barnesville. Until her retirement she was employed by the William Carter Company in Barnesville. She was a member of the Valley Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Allmon is survived by two daughters, Judy (Larry) Doggett of Thomaston and Debra (Freddie) Crummie of Barnesville; two sons, Jerry (Diane) Martin of Milner and Ronald Martin of Barnesville; two sisters, Christine Williams of Barnesville and Evelyn Cochran of Griffin; and one brother, Doug (June) Jones of Columbus. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, seven stepchildren, several step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Martin, J.C. Truitt and William Allmon; a sister, Elsie Jones; two brothers, Johnny and Sammy Jones; and one son, David Martin.
