Joan Thompson Gunter obituary

Mrs. Joan Thompson Gunter, 78, of Barnesville passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at her residence.Mrs. Gunter was born in Hampshire, Tenn., to the late Mr. Willard M. Thompson and the late Mrs. Zelma Love Thompson. Mrs. Gunter was preceded in death by her late husband, Mr. Howell Farris Gunter.Survivors include two sons, Michael Farris Gunter of Lamar County and Mitchell Lee Gunter of Barnesville; a daughter, Pamela Ann Gunter New Thomas (and Bryan) of McDonough; three grandchildren, Ryan New of McDonough, Jake New of McDonough and Skye Lynn Gunter of Griffin; and one stepson, Tyler Thomas of McDonough.Services are planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lamar Memory Gardens.
