John Cornelius West obituary

Mr. John Cornelius West, age 69, of Barnesville passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012 in an Upson County healthcare facility.A native of Lamar County, Mr. West was the son of Mr. Fred West and the late Mrs. Lee Cagle West. Mr. West was a kiln technician with Jordan Lumber Company and was a member of the Methodist faith.Survivors include his wife, Mary Vicari West of Barnesville; his father, Fred West of Barnesville; one daughter, Mitzi and Cliff O’Hearn of Griffin; one son, Jonathan and Cristi West of Griffin; three stepsons, Robert and Linda Waterman of Barnesville, George and Julie Waterman of Chester and Sam Waterman of Barnesville; two sisters, Pat and Bud Leggett of Barnesville and Barbara and Mike Puckett of Canton; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.Funeral services for Mr. John West will be conducted Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Buren Goss officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
