John Wesley Walker

Mr. John Wesley Walker 82, of Barnesville transitioned on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at his residence. Visitation was held on October 27, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the chapel of Trice Funeral Home Inc. of Barnesville. Interment was private. Trice Funeral Home Inc. of Barnesville is in charge of all professional services.
Mr. Walker was born on November 25, 1940 in Lamar County to the late Laura Mae Spear and Mr. John Thomas Walker. He attended school in Lamar County. Mr. Walker worked for many years at Lamar County Public Works as a road foreman.
Mr. Walker’s memory will live on in the hearts of his children Ms. Angela Walker of Atlanta, Ms. Shawanda Walker of Barnesville, Mr. Ron (Kathy) Walker of Barnesville, Mr. John (Venus) Walker of North Carolina, Mr. Alvin Walker Sr. of Forsyth, Mr. Calvin Walker, and Mr. Dusty Eidmon of Barnesville; 15 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren; sisters Jewel Sullivan, Louise Walker(Strodwick), Shirley Walker(Archie Page), Nattie Collins, and the late Annie Ruth Jackson; brothers Will (Cindy) Walker, Walter Louis Walker, Sonny (Karen) Walker, Terry Walker, Larry Walker, and Eddie (Michelle) Collier; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends whom all will miss him dearly.
