Ms. Johnette Lea Owen, age 30, of Barnesville passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in a Barnesville healthcare facility. Born in Clayton County, she was the daughter of Mr. Johnny Owen and Mrs. Marianne Slusser Owen. Johnette was preceded in death by her brother, Christopher Owen. Survivors include her parents, Johnny and Marianne Owen of Barnesville; two sisters, Kimberly Ann Brown (and Shannon) of Milner and Carrie Owen of Atlanta; her maternal grandparents, Lester and Leona Slusser of Barnesville; and two nieces, Halley Wilson and Katelyn Brown. Funeral services for Ms. Johnette Owen will be conducted from the graveside on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012 at 1 p.m. in Lamar Memory Gardens with Dr. Benny Tate officiating.
