Judge Wilson hands down sentences

The following cases were adjudicated in Lamar superior court August 15 with Judge Tommy Wilson presiding: James Phillip Delcastillo, possession of methamphetamine, failure to maintain lane and no seat belt: failed to appear, bench warrant issued. James Gregory Braswell, theft by taking: four years probation, $1000 fine plus surcharges and stay away clause. Elbert Tyler Horton, abandonment of a dead body: pleaded guilty, sent to drug court program. Katherine Noelle Nordan, abandonment of a dead body: pleaded guilty, sent to drug court program. Matthew Anthony Crawford, suspended license and reckless driving: 24 months probation, $500 fine plus surcharges and credit for time served. Shannon Earl Dean, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance: failed to appear, bench warrant issued. Edwin Wayne Harris, battery: failed courtroom drug test, 20 days in jail but can be released after five days upon payment of $500 fine. Damon Kyle Gregory, theft by receiving stolen property: failed to appear, bench warrant issued. Larry Gross, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and failure to maintain lane: not prosecuted. Mylinda Delorse Gross, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute: seven years probation, search and specimen clause under first offender act. Dennis Wayne Lavender, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute: not prosecuted. Porcha Nicole Hammond, giving a false name: 12 months probation, $120 fine under first offender act. Kathy Marie Neill, two counts first degree forgery: failed to appear, bench warrant issued. James David Teal, criminal trespass: 12 months probation, 40 days in jail, restitution and stay away clause. Derrick Lamorris Tookes, giving a false name and suspended license: 12 months probation, four days in jail, $500 fine plus surcharges. Shaun Ray Williams, battery: 12 months probation and anger management counseling. Justin Lee Kunkle, possession of meth: two years in prison, credit for time served, banned from Georgia, mandatory substance abuse treatment. Jonathan M. Mauldin, theft by taking: not prosecuted. Justin M. Tuitt, theft by receiving stolen property: not prosecuted. James E. Banks, three counts burglary: revoked five years probation. Christopher Turner, aggravated battery: probation revoked, suspended upon payment of $3042 fine. Antonio Kendrick, identity fraud and third degree forgery: consent bond set at $10,000. Bruce J. Harris, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute: five years – 195 days in prison, balance on probation.
