Kenneth Karl Green

Mr. Kenneth ‘Ken’ Karl Green, age 52, of Barnesville passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at his residence. He was the son of Roxie and Melvin Peugh of Barnesville and Clarence Sanders Green. Mr. Green was a member of Midway Baptist Church, worked as a radio announcer for WBAF and the Lamar County sheriff’s office and was the voice of the Trojans for many years. He was also the sports writer for The Herald Gazette at the time of his death. Mr. Green loved football and was a big fan of Georgia Tech and the Lamar County Trojans. He coached at John Milledge Academy and Monroe Academy. Survivors include his son, Ryan Green; and daughter, Megan Green, both of Barnesville; brothers, Timothy (Michelle) Peugh of Griffin and Christopher Peugh of Barnesville; and one sister, Jodie Peugh (Patrick) Harrell. He is also survived by three nephews and one niece. Memorial services for Mr. Kenneth Green will be conducted on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 3 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private. Those who wish may view the memorial page and sign the guest book online at williamsfh.net.
