Kidnap suspect caught in Monroe County

A Tennessee man wanted for kidnapping a woman and her three kids was arrested Tuesday in Monroe County. The full news release from Allison Selman-Willis of the Monroe County sheriff’s office follows: A Tennessee man who kidnapped a north Georgia woman and her three children was apprehended in Monroe County, February 15, 2011. Modesto Juan Francisco, 23, of Eastridge, TN allegedly abducted a Rossville, GA woman and her three children after breaking down the door of a duplex in Eastridge, TN where the woman and her kids were staying. According to the victim, she heard a loud crash at the front door of the duplex and saw the suspect enter the home. Then Francisco held the victim and her children at knife point then forced them into the his car. A BOLO was issued by Tennessee law enforcement for the suspect’s green Honda. Meanwhile, an E-911 dispatcher from Eastridge, TN was able to speak to the suspect on the phone and calmed him down. The suspect pulled into the Days Inn parking lot in Forsyth where he was arrested by Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies without further incident. The Eastridge, TN Police Department said they plan on charging Francisco with Aggravated kidnapping and aggravated burglary. Currently, the suspect is being held in the Monroe County Jail on holds from Tennessee.
