Know your ballot

Early voting is underway for the May 22 general primary at the elections board office at the courthouse annex on Thomaston Street in Barnesville. Before you vote, look here to view your sample ballots. Sample ballots are listed below by party. The republican ballot and democratic ballot each have two pages. The nonpartisan ballot is one page. There are no contested Lamar County races on the primary ballot but there are battles for the state house and senate, congress, governor, lieutenant governor and others. Registered voters may cast ballots from 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. daily through Friday, May 18. Additionally, ballots may be cast this Saturday, May 12 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. For more information, contact the elections office at 770-358-5235.
