Mr. L.C. Evans, age 67 who resided at 2498 Hwy. 36 in Milner, Ga., passed away on Friday, June 1 at the Brightmoor Nursing Hospice. The family may be contacted at his residence. Funeral services were held on Sunday, June 3, at 2 p.m. from the Unionville Methodist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Pastor Ron Johnson was the eulogist. Mr. Evans is survived by his mother, Mamie Cole Evans of High Falls community; four children, Stephanie Webb (Steve), Tyrone Evans (Shannon), Tiffany Evans (Marco) and Brenda Williams (Rico) all of Griffin, Ga.; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren: sisters and brother, Lillie Barkley and Willie C. Evans of High Falls community and Tommie Kendall (Mike) of Griffin, Ga.; devoted friends, Charlie Mayes, Ricky Smith and Randy Pittman all of Griffin, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
