Lack of crime lab results halts presentation of key cases

By Walter Geiger Two high profile cases were carried forward to the December term grand jury last week as crime lab results were not yet available. The cases of Jamarris Williams, who is charged with the murder of cab company owner John Dixson, and Thomas E. Lenhart III, who faces multiple charges in the hit and run death of Thomas Norman Anderson, were not presented to the September term grand jury last week due to unfinished crime lab work. Additionally, multiple drug, weapons and explosives charges pending against Seth Bennon Roberts and Wesley Robert Peters were not presented because federal authorities have taken an interest in that case, according to district attorney Richard Milam. Local investigators are also awaiting toxicology results from the crime lab with regard to the death of one-year-old Ethan McFadden who died May 14, just days after his first birthday. ‘We call every week about it,’ noted sheriff’s department spokesman Brad White.
