The LC Lady Trojans (24-4) defeated the East Laurens Falcons (17-11) in the Sweet 16 round of the GHSA state basketball tournament Friday night here.

The Lady Trojans advance to the Elite 8 and will host another playoff game here Tuesday. They will face St. Francis. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
