UPDATE: LC’s dynamic duo of Tamya Blasingame and Shy Foster combined for 52 points as the Lady Trojans topped Thomasville 66-56 in the first round of the state playoffs. LC will play in round two Friday or Saturday.
The LC Lady Trojans, the #4 seed from Region 3AA, travel to Thomasville tonight for the first round ot the GHSA Class AA state basketball tournament.
The Bulldogs are 19-7 overall and 9-1 in Region 1AA play. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
The Lady Trojans (18-10) went 1-2 in the Region 3AA tournament last week. 3AA was perhaps the toughest girls region playoff in the state with #4 NE Macon, #5 Dodge County and #9 Washington County in the fray.
