Lamar Arts will once again host its highly-popular Derby Party fundraiser on Saturday, May 3 from 4-7:30 p.m. at the Bridges home at 903 Thomaston Street in Barnesville. The highlight of the day is watching and wagering on the 151st running of the Kentucky Derby.
Tickets are $40 and include food, mint juleps and other libations. They are available from members and at the Depot Gallery. Funds raised go toward summer art camps for local students.
Attendees can compete in games, a hat contest and a best dressed contest for men. For more information, call 770.358.5888.
