The school and stadium will be 1/2 mile on the right. The trip is approximately 38 miles or 45 minutes.Weather:Mostly sunny, low 80s at kickoff. Remaining clear with temps in the upper 70s as the sun goes down. Expect the Thunder to Roll.Last week:Lamar County beat Spalding 44-14. Eagle’s Landing beat Ola 41-10.Last year:Lawrence Austin ran for a touchdown, threw for a score and returned a kick for another as the Trojans outlasted the Golden Eagles 41-30. Eagle’s Landing went on to a 1-9 campaign.Series:2nd meeting. Lamar leads 1-0.Golden Eagle defense vs. Trojan offense:Eagle’s Landing has revamped its scheme to a 4-2-5 look after yielding 40.5 points per game last year. That move, along with moving several offensive stars to defense, has already paid off as they have allowed only 17 points including pre-season scrimmage which they won 10-7 over Union Grove. The Trojans high powered Wing-T is averaging just under 40 points.Golden Eagle offense vs. Trojan defense:Eagle’s Landing returns seven starter to a spread offense that averaged 24.5 points per game in 2012. The Golden Eagles produced more points (30) against Lamar than any of the Trojans other opponents. They are averaging 20.5 so far this year.
