Lamar County resident Lance Toland organized his own, personal aid mission to Haiti over the weekendGriffin orthopedic surgeon Dr. Tommy Hopkins reported Toland, an accomplished pilot who lives north of Milner, called him seeking orthopedic supplies and medicine for the trip at 9 a.m. Saturday morning.”Phil Hopkins, David’s Drugs, Spalding Regional Hospital and I collected supplies from my office, their drug stores and the operating room and by 10:15 a.m. plane was full and on it’s way to Haiti.
