What Lamar Head Coach Jason Strickland says: “Monticello has been hard to handle the last couple of weeks. Defensively they are very active up front and have been causing a tremendous amount of confusion and pressure their last several games. You can see they have gained quite a bit of physical strength since last year. They have some really good players as they only lost two starters from last year’s offense and only four from their defense. They have 20 seniors this year. With the way our two teams have been scoring points it could be pretty exciting Friday night.”
