Looming arctic weather has forced the closure of Lamar schools Monday and Tuesday. Faculty and staff were to return Monday with students to return Tuesday. Check back often for updates but currently plans are to open schools Wednesday, Jan 8. Pike, Spalding and Upson counties are also following the same closure protocol. St. George’s Episcopal School in Milner is also closed Tuesday. The basketball game and alumni night festivities surrounding it Tuesday night have also been called off due to weather.
