Superintendent Dr. Bill Truby reported Sunday at 2:35 p.m. that Lamar County schools will close Monday due to the looming winter storm. Classes at St. George’s Episcopal School in Milner have also been cancelled. Commission chairman Jay Matthews reported all county offices will also be closed but public works personnel will be on the job.
