A group of Lamar senior citizens vistied the state capitol on Thursday, March 18. They met with Governor Sonny Perdue during the visit which was arranged by commissioner Nancy Thrash. Also on the agenda was a capitol tour and lunch. The seniors closed the day by observing the House of Representatives during live session. Representatives Jim Cole and David Knight welcomed them and learned it was the first trip to the capitol for most.
