Lamar soccer teams sweep Rutland

Lamar County traveled to Macon Monday night and swept a pair of soccer matches from Rutland High School.Sara Boyle had a pair of goals for the Lady Trojans who improve to 7-5-1 for the season with a 3-2 win over the Lady Hurricanes. It was the Lamar girls’ third win in a row.Daniel Huggins three-goal hat trick boosted the Trojans to a 6-2 win over the Hurricanes giving the boys a 5-7-1 record for the year.Lamar will host Howard this Thursday at Trojan Field beginning with the girls’ match at 5:30 p.m.
