The Trojan grapplers competed in a pair of meets over the holiday break wrestling in the Dog Fight Duals at Jones County High School in Gray and at a four-team meet at Central High School in Carrollton. At the Dog Fights, Lamar County came away with team wins over Baldwin, Rutland and Upson-Lee but were defeated by Howard. Lamar will host the Area 4 Region Dual Tournament this Saturday at the high school gymnasium. The Trojans will be joined by Morgan County, Crawford County, Greene County, Lamar County, Monticello, Pike County, Northeast Macon and Southwest Macon for the meet which gets underway at 9 a.m. The top two teams at this weekend’s tourney will earn a berth in the state dual tournament in Macon Jan. 13 and 14. Admission to the Area Duals is $7.
