Lamar countians go to the polls today to cast ballots in the Georgia General Primary.Polling places will be open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. throughout the county today. Voters will have to choose a Democratic or Republican ballot upon entering the polls and will have to vote that same ballot in the event of a runoff.Three local races will be decided in the primary balloting.As it has for the last 30 years, The Herald-Gazette will provide its readers with realtime election results direct from the tabulation center for all local races Tuesday night.Election coverage is available online here at barnesville.com or via phone by calling our Election Hotline at 770.358.NEWS.Polls do not close until 7 p.m. Initial results are expected to roll in at about 7:45 p.m.
