The Diamond Trojans and both the LCCHS Trojans and Lady Trojans hosted playoff games today and the home team was victorious in three of the four. The Diamond Trojans took a doubleheader from the Cook County Hornets, winning game one 2-0 and game two 4-3. They advance to round two Wednesday and will travel to Westside of Augusta. The Trojan soccer team dropped a heartbreaking 2-1 decision to the Fitzgerald Hurricanes. Cody Allen netted the only goal for Lamar in the elimination loss. The Lady Trojans routed the the Lady Hurricanes from Fitzgerald 4-1. Katie Jo Daniel had two goals and an assist to pace Lamar. Sydney Tenney had a goal and two assists. Alexis Bedgood also scored for Lamar. The Lady Trojans will play at Dublin Tuesday in round two.
