Lamar woman imprisoned for child porn

Charity M. Holloway of Lamar County has been sentenced to 11 years in federal prison on child pornography charges. According to a report by Amy Leigh Womack of the Macon Telegraph, Holloway, 38, was indicted July 14, 2011, on the distribution charge and two other child pornography charges, according to federal court records. The other two charges have been dismissed. Holloway has admitted she engaged in internet chats between May 12, 2009, and Oct. 19, 2009, with a man she was pursuing romantically. She sent him ‘sexually explicit’ photos of herself and two children, according to a U.S. Attorney’s Office news release. Steven Demink, of Detroit, was sentenced to life in August 2011 for soliciting sexually explicit photos of children from women he met on a dating web site. Demink befriended Holloway and had her send him photos, according to a plea agreement filed in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia. In January 2011, authorities met with Holloway at her Lamar County home. She initially denied sending photos to Demink, but after being confronted with chat records she admitted sending photos, according to the agreement. After her prison sentence is complete, Holloway must serve five years on supervised release, according to court records.
