Laura Cotterman Guy

Laura Cotterman Guy, 51, of Griffin, GA passed away Saturday evening, June 3, 2023, at the Eternal Hope Hospice.
Laura was born in Hialeah Florida Thursday, December 23, 1971, daughter of Katherine Morgan Cotterman and the late Francis “Pete” Cotterman. She held a certificate in accounting but engaged in the worthiest and rewarding work of raising her children and making a home for her family. Laura was a loving wife, mother, and sister and enjoyed sewing and photography. She loved nature, especially owls and hummingbirds. To quote Laura: “The best thing I have ever done in my life is become a Christian, marry the man I love, and become a mother,’ Laura was preceded in death by her father Francis “Pete” Cotterman and a daughter Morgan Guy.
Surviving Laura are her husband, Phillip Guy, to whom she was married June 16, 1993; Mother Katherine Cotterman; Four sons Lyle, Ryan, Ethan, and J.T. Guy; two sisters Kristi Peavy and her twin Iona Richardson; two brothers Bobby and Scott Cotterman. Two nieces and several nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Laura will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the Milner Baptist Church with Reverend Brad Ellington officiating. Interment services will be conducted at 4 PM Wednesday at the lrwinville Cemetery, lrwinville GA. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 10 until 11 AM. lnlieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eternal Hope Hospice, 123 n. 18th Street, Griffin, GA 30223.
