LC golf team wins area title, headed to state

The Trojan golf team won the Area 3AA golf championship last week. The win qualified the team for the GHSA state championships at Southern Hills Golf Club in Hawkinsville. They will play 36 holes over two days there May 16-17.

In the area title match, Everett Horne was the low Trojan, shooting a 77. The other scorers were Alex Abernathy 83, Seth Kellam 89, Hunter Boutwell 90, Whitt Ellington 99 and Logan Ogletree 99.
