The fledgling Lamar County Charter & Career Academy was left out in the cold Thursday when the Technical College System of Georgia awarded grants. LCCCA was one of four finalists for the $3.1 million grants but was not funded. Hopes are high that the academy will be funded in the next grant cycle. ”Needless to say, we are very disappointed,” noted steering committee chairman Tracy Bittner.
