They set a goal at the beginning of the season to bring home a championship and they never lost sight of it. It was an honor to play such a great opponent. Henderson was the reigning champion. We stayed focused and accomplished what we set out to do at the beginning of the season. I believe what sets this team apart is their collective love of the game, respect for each other and great work ethic. They definitely deserve to be champions,’ head coach Kelly Adamson said of her girls. It was the third match between the two district powerhouses LCMS went 2-0-1against last year’s title team. Henderson gave up only 17 goals all season and the Lady Trojans had 12 of those. The team will be honored at the school board meeting April 8 and at the April 9 Rotary Club meeting.
